The desk
Privacy policy
Lucite Desk, a free Series 79 practice site, sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no accounts and stores nothing in your browser; the one thing it records is a click on the “Get the app” link.
Summary
The short version
What this site keeps
- Cookies
- None
- Analytics or tracking scripts
- None
- Accounts or sign-up
- None
- Stored in your browser
- Nothing
- Logged on a server
- Clicks on “Get the app”
The site is a set of static pages. Fonts and scripts are served from this domain, so reading a page sends no request to an ad network, a tag manager or anybody’s pixel.
The privacy policy is short for the usual reason: there is not much to declare. The one exception is the app link, explained below in full.
Practice
Your practice answers stay in the page
The practice items on the practice test and the guide pages run entirely in your browser. Your picks, flags and tallies live in the open page and nowhere else: nothing is sent to a server, nothing goes into cookies or local storage, and closing or reloading the page clears the lot.
That also means the site cannot remember where you stopped. Leave the tab open if you want to come back to item 23.
Clicks
The one thing that is logged: app-link clicks
The “Get the app” button does not link to the App Store directly. It goes through the go. subdomain of this site, which records the click on the server before sending you on. On an iPhone or iPad you go to the App Store listing of the Series 79 practice app; other devices are offered this site’s free practice test instead.
For each click the log keeps:
- the page and the button you clicked from;
- your operating system and the browser user-agent string;
- your IP address, and the network (ASN) and provider it belongs to;
- a coarse location derived from the IP address: country, region, city and time zone;
- the referrer, and any campaign parameters in the link.
It is used for click statistics: which pages and buttons send people to the app, and how many of those visits end in an install. The log is written by the server after the redirect, with no cookie, pixel or script in your browser, and the site carries no advertising for it to feed.
Once you are on the App Store, Apple’s privacy terms and the app’s own privacy details on its listing apply, not this page.
Delivery
What the host sees
Like any website, these pages are delivered by a hosting provider whose servers receive your IP address and browser details in order to send the page back. Lucite Desk keeps no page-view log of its own: which pages you read is not recorded, only the app-link clicks above.
Messages
If you write to us
There is no contact form here. If you report a wrong key through the App Store listing’s developer support link, your message and the address you send it from are used to answer you and to fix the item, and for nothing else.
This policy was last updated in October 2026. Questions about it go the same way; the free practice starts on the front page.
